a night to remember ...

Are you planning a party or wedding or would you like Hidden Agenda to come to your venue to make the evening go with a real swing?  If so, then we would be delighted to hear from you!

The band are happy to play anywhere there is an appreciative audience and as a consequence play a combination of functions, weddings and party venues.

We are completely self-sufficient and can provide full PA and lights and have Public Liability Insurance to cover the band's activities.

A typical evening would see us play around two hours of music, typically split into two sets, but we can be flexible and are happy to discuss your requirements.

When we are not performing, we are able to play background music through the PA if required.

What sort of band are you?

Hidden Agenda are a 7 piece disco and soul covers band. We deliver high energy, floor filling, party sets. We also have a series of slower tracks in our repertoire if you would like your evening to start more gently.

Have you been together for long?

Hidden Agenda have been playing together since 2009. Between us we have in excess of 100 years of experience playing in similar bands and three members of the band have played together since 2005.

Is your web site a true representation of the band we will get?

Absolutely, we take pride in putting on the best possible performances and do not use substitutes or drop a member of the band except in the case of unforseen illness. We have never let a booker down!
The band will always be smart and well presented as can be seen on our web site. However, if there is a formal style you would like us to fit into, or if the event is a themed fancy dress night please let us know and we will work with you to accommodate.

Do you have your own equipment?

We are completely self-sufficient and come with our own PA, sound system and lights - suitable for handling functions of up to around 200 people. For bigger functions we can hire in additional equipment to make your function the best it can possibly be.
Please ensure that there are a minimum of two 13 Amp standard sockets near the stage area at the venue and we will do the rest.

My venue needs you to be insured. What do you have in place?

The band has its own public liability insurance up to a value of £5m and a copy of the certificate can be provided if required.

How long do you normally play for?

We are flexible about the timings for the sets we play. We usually find that two sets of 45 minutes each with a 30 minute break in the middle works best, but at any one time we will have at least 2.5 hours of material rehearsed and ready to go.
Let us know how we can best fit into your event and we will work with you to make it a success!

Can you provide music in the breaks?

Yes. We are happy to play music through our PA when we are not on stage. We can either provide this music or we can connect your MP3 player to the system through a standard headphone lead.

Can you add a special track to your set?

If you would like us to accommodate your favourite track into the set, please let us know at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate.
Whilst we are a soul and disco band we can cover most tracks. So far we have added special tracks from artists as diverse as The Carpenters, Bare Naked Ladies, Altered Images and the Rolling Stones. If for whatever reason we will not be able to play your track we will let you know at the point you request it.

How loud are you?

The band is no louder than any other large party band.
When choosing your venue please find out if they have any licensing restrictions for live music performance.
Some venues may also have sound limiting equipment installed that will cut the power to the band PA above certain volume levels and if this is case you should let us know and we will work with the venue to ensure there are no issues at your event.

How much space will you need?

As a 7 piece band we will need sensible working room to accommodate everyone on the stage or area designated for the band. We can squeeze into very small spaces but our intent is to put on a show. You will get a much more exciting performance if the band has space to move around!

Will we need to feed and water you?

Whilst the playing time for the band may be only a couple of hours please consider that the days for us can be long. With this in mind if there is catering at your function please consider making provision for us to be fed and watered. We do not expect to sit down with your guests but catering companies will most often provide something for the entertainment team.

Are you happy to work with other entertainers?

Of course, and if we will be working with other entertainers or DJ’s then please let us know in advance so that we can work with them to make best use of the space and make the event seamless for you.

What else will you need to know?

Please consider when you would like us to arrive and depart. We typically need two hours to set up all of our equipment and perform a sound check. We would normally expect to do this before your guests arrive.
It is also likely that when we finish playing you will not want us to break up our equipment and leave instantly as it is possible your function will still be in full swing. It typically takes an hour to break-up and pack away our equipment, so please consider when it will be possible to do this.
